“Mommy, I want to be Big” are words I never thought would affect me, but they did when I heard them from my daughter.  She is 2 ½ years old and already wants to be bigger, older…OMG!!!!

This is my fault, I have denied her things that are not for children and most likely said “not until you are bigger” or “not until you are older”.  When I speak to my daughter, I don’t always realize how much she retains and understands…and she retains and understands everything!  She is so smart and knows meaning behind words and sentences I have not explained yet.

I don’t want her to grow up yet…I don’t want her to get bigger yet.  I want her to enjoy being a toddler with no cares in the world.  She can nap when she wants, play with toys when she wants, color outside the lines, run around the backyard, have someone dress her and do her hair, give her money,  and just be a kid.  Who would not want that??!!

If I only knew then what I know now, I would enjoy the freedom more, I would take more chances, push the envelope more, just live life to the fullest and not want responsibility of being a grown up.

Everyone told me she would grow up fast, but I never thought she would WANT to grow up fast!
